A Retail Senior Buyer job in the North West with an excellent salary and benefits package. Managing the a small team of Buyers in the negotiation, promotion and range building process to maximise sales and profit through optimum product mixed for a leading retail business.

The Job
You'll be required to manage your designated trading area, which will include pricing, product availability and ensuring you have the right product mix to deliver sales in line with set targets and budgets, whilst developing your teams expertise. A key part of the role will be to maximise returns from some of worlds leading FMCG suppliers through negotiation and the development of products ranges as well as working with both suppliers and internal marketing teams to plan and manage your promotional calendar. You will also be required to work closely with NPD and Product Innovation teams to put together a market-leading own brand range

About you
To be considered for this role, you must have trading / buying experience in a retail, wholesale, cash and carry or foodservice environment where you will have demonstrable track record of success in delivering a profitable and innovative Grocery range. You will also need to have strong management and leadership capabilities as well as the ability to handle complex negotiations and to set / manage budgets to deliver sales against target. Ideally you will have experience of Trading within a Grocery category such as Biscuits, Confectionery, Snacks, Drinks, Crisps and so on
