The Company:

Fantastic IT and technology business with instantly recognised brand name and highly impressive product range within print, MPS and mobile technology. An innovation driven business, that constantly challenges the market norm, they are hugely people focused in both the way they operate with their customers and channels, and in how they recruit for themselves. Mobile technology is a recent enterprise for them as a business and they are already enjoying strong relationships with resellers and distributors with a range of products that fit marketplaces such as the emergency services, logistics, warehousing, healthcare but also looking to branch out into Grocery and High Street retail, stadia and entertainment.

The Opportunity:

This brand new Business Development Manager role is focusing heavily on working with existing partners and distributors, with some new account recruitment, and working alongside their sales and management teams to promote our clients range of mobile technology, consumables and accessories. It’s a fast paced, challenging environment, but one where your ability to work cross-functionally both internally and with your customers and develop key working relationships, will pay dividends in your success. The ability to manage longer term projects with partners and customers, and leverage the internal support functions within the business is vital, as much as sales and account management/development skills.

You:

You will be a first class sales professional, ideally with experience in a distribution sales model in FMCG or B2B. As a Business Development Manager you will be a natural relationship developer and possess a keen ability to foster and encourage rapport within your account base at all levels; from the sales floor to MD. Being strong “with the numbers” is essential – the ability to forecast – as well as being able to build a range and proposition with key partners for their customers. The classic range of account management skills are a standard requirement in this role – reporting processes, pricing, marketing activity, but overall commercial acumen is the most important attribute.
