An exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager has developed with a rapidly growing world foods business. Their extensive product range includes premium branded condiments, sauce, rice and noodles. Over the past 2 years the business has seen an £8m increase in turnover and as a result they have become sole supplier to a number of customers. Within the UK the business has a presence across the Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale channels. Following on from their growth they have created an opening for a Sales Manager to further develop their branded & private label offering within the Foodservice channel.
Role
As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for the £5m Foodservice customer base which currently consists of customers such as Pret, Wagamama, Itsu, GBK and Yo Sushi to name a few. You will operate at a strategic level and be capable of identifying and then taking advantage of the numerous opportunities that exist within each account. Furthermore, you will be expected to work with the buyers and initiatives to drive the sales forward. You will report to and work closely with the Managing Director, so you can expect decisions to be made quickly, as well as a degree of autonomy to influence the business unit and build the brand.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing branded business within the Foodservice channel, ideally end user customers. The successful candidate will have great relationship management skills, extensive exposure to category management and have the gravitas to influence customers. As for product background, experience within the ambient category is preferred but not essential. My client is looking for a loyal individual that wants to be a part of the company’s long term plans and growth strategy for the brand. As for location, you will need to be within commutable distance to their head office in North London.
