Category Manager - Food - Midlands - Out of Home - £30-40k + package.

Our client is a successful food processor. Very much the #1 in their product category. They specialise in supplying chilled food products into major retail and foodservice establishments. The business have a fantastic reputation in the industry. They are a very innovative business who are looking to progress and grow all the time. An exciting role has come up in their commercial unit.

The Role

•              This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent category management skills to join a highly successful           FMCG business where shopper understanding and category insight is at the heart of the company’s decision making.

•              The role will be responsible for delivering compelling category insights and objective market understanding to the ‘Out of Home’ sector in order to influence strategic decision making and drive real category growth.

•              You will report directly to the Out of Home Commercial Controller.

•              Be confident in the analysis and interpretation of sales and marketing data Identify risks and opportunities within the market and communicate then to the business

•              Develop a category relationship with the buyer and other key customer contacts

•              Lead range and category reviews across departments to ensure activities are aligned to the category strategy

•              Work closely with the NPD and Marketing teams to provide shopper and category insights that inform our concept development

•              Develop compelling rationale for all NPD launches and review product performance against agreed KPIs Aim to be           your customers’ first point of contact as an unbiased category expert

The Candidate

•              The successful candidate will have a proven track record in category management within food or FMCG.

•              Be ideally degree educated.

•              Based in the Midlands.

•              Commutable from parts of the North West.
