Business Development Manager – Field Based 

Locations: London and the South

(Wholesale / C&C /Convenience)

This position reports into the Field Sales Supervisor, and involves managing some of our key Wholesale/C&C regional members, executing tactical call files in the Convenience sector, and delivering on new business targets within the designated territory.  

By working closely with internal stakeholders, and your customers, you will identify key business needs and opportunities.  

You will then be responsible for setting up and rigorously implementing availability and visibility of the BIC brand and selling in promotional activity at a regional level, which will deliver long term sales and profit growth.  

You will need strong sales and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate good commercial acumen.

The role, which is 80% account management and 20% new business, requires the successful candidate to be field based, with a minimum of 4 days in the field and one from home to complete admin.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in a similar role (highly rated territory manager/business development manager) 
  • Degree education (desirable)
  • Record of consistent achievement in a competitive environment
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A graduate with some relevant sales experience may be considered as training will be provided
