The Company
My client is a £multi-billion global operation with several well-known brands across the DIY and household markets. With strong sales figures and year on year growth, the company is profitable and has relationships with many large retailers. In addition to a wide national presence, the brand is strong within independent retail, wholesale and builders merchants. As such, the company is now looking for a talented area sales professional responsible for key independent and regional accounts in the South of England.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing large independent and regional accounts across independent retail, builders merchants and wholesale accounts. The role covers the whole of the South of England, although includes a very manageable number of accounts with turnover of £1m+ across the portfolio. This role has a high level of autonomy where you will be able to make commercial decisions and have them approved quickly.
The Candidate
You will ideally have some experience in field sales / account management and be looking for the next step in your career with a larger business. Preferably you will have a related background in a product area such as DIY products, power tools, adhesives, building products or garden products, and have a good working knowledge of retail and trade customers. Although for those with the right attitude and commitment, other backgrounds will be considered. This is very much a business that rewards hard work, and as such there is genuine potential to develop your career rapidly.
