This is an Exciting New Opportunity for a highly driven and ambitious National Account Manager.

Our Client is an established FMCG SME, holding accounts with some of the most exciting names within the UK Grocery Market.

Holding a solid market reputation and outstanding growth over the last five years, this new role offers great opportunity for someone wanting career progression and world class training.

Their core focus is within Retail, M&S being there biggest customer. They are continually looking to expand their retail customers.

This position will be responsible for developing the long term strategy. You will communicate across the internal teams and successfully deliver projects according to the customer needs. Given the high-profile nature of this account, my client requires a relationship-driven, tenacious individual to maintain and grow customer relationships at the very core of their business.

The Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long lasting relationships
  • Drive distribution of existing and new products
  • Develop a trusted relationship with the key M&S stakeholders
  • Travel within Europe to liaise with Key Suppliers
  • Ensure the timely and effective delivery of solutions according to customer needs and manufacturing partners needs
  • Communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate with the team and manufacturing partners
  • Grow and implement programs of appropriate promotional activity

The Person

  • You will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Own-Label Account Management and have in-depth UK retail market knowledge
  • You will always be looking for ways to improve performance and deliver a year on year growth
  • Previous experience with top grocer accounts is desirable but not a pre-requisite
  • Financial Acumen and strong negotiation skills are a must
  • Trustworthy, persistent and persuasive and possess the ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions for difficult tasks
  • Ready to leave a bigger established business and test your skills somewhere where you have the potential to advance quickly
