Global Account Director - International Grocery Retailer

Working for one of the leading FMCG/Retail Insight companies you will be joining to work with a grocery retailer on an international assignment.

You will be joining a global consultancy who are long established with an impressive client roster. They have recently brought a number of new products to market which are doing very well, specially they have signed up a major grocery retailer in the UK and are now looking to roll out their service offering to retailers offices overseas in Europe and Asia.

Your profile - either FMCG background with experience in Category Management, Senior National Accounts/ Controller or currently working for another agency specialising in retail data insight.


Duties and Responsibilities
*Leadership of the international expansion of the relationship, as well as dotted line management responsibility across a matrix structure for solutions as they sold in each market
*Negotiation of new contracts and commercial terms for solutions as they are sold in each market
*Ensuring that service level agreements are in place and maintained to agreed quality levels and that all contractual obligations are met
*Take responsibility for successful management of the P&L.
*Delivering accurately against budget; revenue tracking and forecasting
*A strong advocate of providing true consultative solutions, fostering high quality client partnerships, backed up by delivering best in class solutions and demonstrating a thor9ugh understanding of consultative selling
*Work alongside UK team (major grocery retailer) leader to develop the account plan, including contact strategy and growth delivered approach
*

Desired Skills & Experience
*Several years' experience of working in senior client and/or sales management roles, with a strong awareness of retailer strategies.
*Extensive experience of effectively engaging and influencing cross functionally up to Board level within medium to large organisations, directly associated with the Grocery/Retailing sector.
*Able to add value to the wider business strategy and overall corporate objectives.
*Have an established network of contacts at Senior level within the retail industry
*Good experience of translating corporate strategy into practical and sustainable sales and marketing action plans.
*A strong track record of creating sales strategy, managing business plans and associated P&L.
