Job Details
Home to some of the UK's leading dairy brands, including Cravendale, Anchor, Lurpak and Castello, Arla Foods is the UK's number one dairy company. Also supplying a full range of fresh dairy products to the major retailers and food service customers, Arla has an annual turnover of more than £2 billion.
Arla Foods is different to most companies in that we are extremely proud to say that we are a Cooperative. This means that the farmers who supply us with our most valuable commodity, our milk are also the owners of the business.
Not only that, but Arla is also the UK's number one cheese manufacturer and the largest supplier of butter and spreads. Behind this leading global business, is a UK team of 4000 colleagues located across our dairies, distribution centres and head offices, ensuring that more than 4000 daily deliveries are made to stores and regional distribution centres. So if you've poured some of the nice cold white stuff over your bowl of breakfast cereal today or had cheese on toast for your evening snack, chances are you've already experienced Arla!
We are recruiting within the Category Development team for an Assistant Category Manager dedicated to one of our strategic retail customers but working across our full category and product portfolio. The role will actively support the delivery of Arla's and the customer's category objectives through the running and analysis of market data utilising a number of different systems. This is permanent position and is based at our Head Office function in Leeds.
Providing detailed and precise category information tailored towards business and customer requirements, you will be sourcing and converting raw data into clear and concise insight. Using strong analytical skills delivered in the most relevant format, you will be responsible for maintaining monthly databases and creating daily, weekly and monthly reports and trackers, delivering regular category updates on time and accurately.
To be successful in this role you be extremely competent in Excel with strong numeracy and analytical skills. You will have a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail along with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be self-driven, hardworking and a real team player.
In return you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work for a forward thinking, progressive organisation that recognises and rewards talent.
