The Company:

My client is a significant force in the homewares industry, possessing a number of recognisable brands, it is a market leader in high quality and innovatively designed tableware, cookware, giftware and tabletop accessories.

Their brands are known the world over, not just in the UK where their famous ranges are designed and manufactured. They have a strong senior leadership team from both within the Industry and outside, with the skills and energy to drive a business forward in coming years.

The role:

Reporting into the UK Sales Director you will be responsible for leading and growing the UK National Accounts team. The team you will be managing currently consists of National Account Managers and several sales support team members, looking after existing combined sales of over £7 million per annum. The remit of this role will be to grow turnover within the UK by increasing sales within existing Retail accounts as well as to open up new accounts across all retail channels.

This position will have profit and loss responsibility and the successful candidate will be expected to manage and grow the existing team, to ensure that all financial targets and individual KPI's are met. You will report regularly into the Board and this role is central to the growth of the company as the SLT have identified numerous opportunities to develop the companies presence in a number of National Accounts.

Utilising different brands and different price points across all ranges you will look to develop as well as bring on new accounts across all retail channels including the likes of; Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Selfridges and Beales.

You will be expected to make key client visits and help the existing NAM's develop and build new relationships within the channel and as such this will be a hands on role. You will be expected to manage your diary and when not out visiting clients you will be office based in Northamptonshire so you must be within commutable distance. You will be responsible for team meetings, training and appraisals.

The individual:

You will be a strong leader and have the dynamism and personal drive to inspire in others the type of commitment and energy that you bring to all of your endeavours. You will be keen to develop your career and help others in gaining the key skills that are required to drive theirs.

You will have a minimum of 3 years recent experience within Homewears and an understanding of how to open up the channel and bring on new accounts. In particular Debenhams and House of Fraser experience will be a distinct advantage. You will be customer focused and have experience in solution selling, developing unique ranges for each client based on their individual needs, style and price points.
