The Company:

For over a century, our client has been a highly respected and established food and drinks business distributing a broad range of market leading premium brands covering a number of categories across all retail and foodservice sectors.

 As part of their ambitious programme of growth and expansion within the Cash & Carry and Foodservice wholesale sector, they are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to join their successful team, managing and growing a well-established territory in the South East.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager responsible for this channel, this is a key role within a major growth area of the business.  Managing your portfolio of brands across your territory, which will cover London (M25 boundary) and Kent, your role will be both challenging and rewarding with exposure to a broad portfolio of Grocery and Foodservice accounts, but the support will be there to enable you to have focus to deliver your objectives.  As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for meeting budgets and targets as well as maximising sales and profit in alignment with your joint business plans and promotional events.   In addition to this you will demonstrate your business development skills, actively targeting and acquiring new business through increased distribution and opening new accounts.

Overall you will support the National Account Management team to deliver brand and channel plans.

The person:

Currently working at a Territory Manager/Key Account Manager level or equivalent, with experience of working within an FMCG food or drinks business, together with a demonstrable strong track record in sales and business development within the Cash & Carry and Foodservice wholesale channels.  Alternatively, you may be an ambitious and experienced Territory Manager working in Convenience Retail.  Candidates should live in the South East or be within a commutable distance from the M25 and possess a valid UK driving licence.

This role is ideal if you have well developed customer relationship, presentation, negotiation and time management skills, together with pace, drive enthusiasm and a willingness to achieve both your commercial and future career goals.
