The Company

My client is a UK leading supplier of stationery & licenced products who supply to over 2,000 outlets across the UK and Ireland. With a presence in Independent, National accounts this business also have a number of distribution partners overseas and are actively developing export sales in a number of countries including the US. The business has a wide range of products and operate on a good, better, best principle with a portfolio consisting of exclusive own label and licenced products. This is a company which has a very creative culture where driven and tenacious people will flourish. Due to one of their team progressing into a new department a position has now become available for a National Account Manager with Category Management experience.

The Role

As National Account Manager you will report to the Sales Director and be responsible for dynamic business growth within your customer base. You will prepare and agree annual and seasonal budgets, revenue and profit targets within your customers and monitor account performance to ensure targets are met. You will have a high involvement in range and category management across a collection of products spanning over 5,000 SKU’s and as a result will provide a more proactive category led approach. This position will require you to work very closely with the product and marketing teams to ensure the customer is receiving the best service and experience. Finally you will be responsible for monitoring trends and competitor activities to identify and threats and opportunities for the business.

The Candidate

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you will currently be in a National Account position with at least 2 years’ experience managing Key or National retailers. You will have a proven record of sales achievements, opening and managing major accounts at a senior level. You will have experience of Category Management and have worked with a large number of SKU’s. You must be ambitious, tenacious and results driven with strong negotiation skills and a passion to succeed.
