As market leaders in their category, my client are going from strength to strength with strong year on year growth equating to a current turnover of £100m. They specialise in premium ambient products sold under brand and own label, and supply all the major super markets. They are still privately owned meaning there is a real family feel culture and they are a very innovative and entrepreneurial business with new products constantly being developed and launched to market. They have aggressive growth plans for the future with a strategy to move into new product areas and buy new sites to increase their volume levels.

As Export Manager, you will be expected to develop and manage a portfolio of retail accounts across Europe to deliver sustainable, profitable growth for the business.

The key tasks in this role will be:

  • Develop and implement the strategy for profitable growth within the designated territory
  • Develop and work with a network of sale agents to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Day to day management of existing European retail accounts ensuring growth opportunities are maximised and profitable
  • Develop the business' value proposition through marketing initiatives including testimonials, case studies, on-line presence, communication plans and other collateral
  • Enhancing customer relationships through exceptional customer service
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements through effective collaboration with the UK supply chain team
  • To work with customers to develop a broader range of lines and to deliver the best solutions to the customer and the business
  • Development and implementation of promotional strategies
  • Budgeting, planning and sales forecasts
  • Preparing effective and professional sales reports and presentations for internal and external presentation as specified
  • Negotiating margins, price changes, shelf positioning, promotional activities etc with all accounts and brokers

To be considered for this role, you must be working in an FMCG business managing the retailers across Europe. The ability to speak French or German would be desired but not essential.
