Category Manager – Home Counties - £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits 

The Advocate Group are working with an established FMCG Food business to recruit a Category Manager into their growing marketing function.

You will work in a broad and varied position and will be able to take advantage of a great career progression route to Controller level. 

You will work in a varied and broad classical Category Manager position and be responsible for conducting range reviews, assisting NPD projects, contributing to shopper/customer marketing activities and merchandising activities.

You will work closely with the wider commercial team in order to provide actionable insights that will contribute to business growth. 

Whilst this role is predominantly focused on Category Management there will be elements of Shopper/Customer Marketing so any experience in that arena would be a real advantage.

You will be tasked with conducting the above and various other research, analytics and reports in order to provide sound commercial insights that the business can act upon. Ideally you will have experience of working in a category role within the FMCG arena.

Main Duties Include;

• Collecting, analysing and reporting on consumer data from various sources, e.g. Nielsen, Kantar and IRI
• Highlight and provide insights on key trends and opportunities in the market
• Conducting range reviews 
• Assist with analytics to aide NPD projects 
• Partner closely with wider internal sales and marketing teams 
• Work closely with a broad range of retailers

Skills Required;

• Track record in FMCG category role
• Experience with Nielsen, Kantar, IRI or similar data source
• Experience of Customer/Shopper Marketing 
• Ability to communicate across various functions
