Our client is a Swiss-owned, innovative, world player in micro-electronic manufacturing. Brands within their corporate ownership are amongst the most globally sought-after of our age. Each group-owned timepiece brand boasts a pedigree, stretching back in some cases over many generations, and the wholly-owned subsidiary servicing the UK and Ireland continues to grow unabated.
The need has arisen to provide maternity cover in a Key Account Manager capacity for one specific brand on a regional basis, championing a Swiss timekeeping great, to the advantage of both retail partners and manufacturer alike.
The previous incumbent has progressed to a Senior Account handling mandate, and the remit of this appointment is to continue the positive progress made within the medium sized majors. Accounts to be serviced encompass several leading national multiple retail jewellers, fast emerging regional jewellery players, as well as the travel retail sector. A particular focus currently is managing the roll-out of a new “shop in shop” proposition.
The role is field based; however you will be expected to attend the group’s London HQ for circa two days per week to keep up to speed with the desired group and brand best practice requirements, and thereby support your successful performance.
Ideally you will have a strong background within the watch and jewellery industry, and have established professional relationships with key accounts already in place. Our client is keen to continue to build and maintain strong working relationships with all supplier side parties, be they buyers, merchandisers or store based employees, in pursuit of which your strong interpersonal skills will be brought to bear.
Your IT proficiency will be critical to success, including an advanced level competence in Microsoft Excel. Managing all your allocated accounts, you will constantly collate and analyse sales data to ensure the successful implementation of strategies to heighten sales performance.
As this position is directly responsible for the line management of the brand’s national Visual Merchandiser/Trainer team, it will be useful if you already possess people management skills and experience.
