Following a sustained period of growth an award winning Wine Merchant are seeking an exceptional individual to take on a number of prestige accounts within the London On Trade.

The Story

The organisation place a premium on providing the highest standards in both service and wine quality, and as such you will use your previous experience of working with the Restaurants and Hotels industry to further enhance the wine portfolio on offer. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be focused on developing the Hotel and Restaurant account portfolio by securing new listings, as well as growing existing accounts.

You will be well supported by a knowledgeable and experienced team with a strong ethos of pooling expertise, whilst allowing you the autonomy to develop your accounts and new business as you see fit. You will manage a strong and varied portfolio of wines which are produced from vineyards across the globe, and you will be given the opportunity to visit countries including Argentina to further develop a close working relationships with your producers.

The organisation have recently bolstered their already reknowned agency list and a structured plan for steady growth over the coming months. You will be integral to the strategic development of the On Trade division as you continue to develop your account base through a mixture of new listings and growth within your existing accounts.

Each new member of team is encouraged to maintain their knowledge and market awareness of the wine industry, and as such they will sponsor you to undertake a WSET qualification up to Diploma level if you do not currently possess one.

What is Required

This role requires you to be an outgoing and passionate wine professional, and as such a superb knowledge of wine is essential. As you will be the face of the organisation within your account base, you must be able to conduct yourself accordingly and demonstrate strong negotiating skills and a track record in sales and account management.

The position comes with a substantial bonus structure and the promise of future career development into senior management. You must be based around London as all of your client base will be in Greater London - all work-related travel expenses will be covered.
