Farm Shop and Group Food Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Farm Shop Buyer and Group Food Buyer as part of the Blue Diamond Group.

There are 6 branded farm shops across England which incorporate a delicatessen and shop providing the best possible locally sourced produce and products.

We are looking for an experienced farm shop retail buyer to seize the potential of these stores, understand the customer base and what appeals to them and in doing so will grow sales and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to get underneath the brand and what it means to our customers, will have the vision to ensure a point of difference from competitor farm shops and create an aspirational look and feel to product and merchandising.

The role will also incorporate the buying of food produce for the rest of the Blue Diamond Garden Centres, 17 centres in total.

The following skills are essential -

• Previous food buying experience

• Farm shop buying

• Ability to build relationships with local producers

• Highly motivated and able to work autonomously

• Excellent communication skills

• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel

• Confident in data analysis to identify opportunities and follow through to implementation
