Category Buyer – Bakery

Our client is a fantastic retailer with stores in every major UK town and city. They are looking to recruit a strong Buyer to manage their Bakery range.

You will have complete autonomy to develop the Bread, Cakes & Bakery category in line with wider company strategy.

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

• Highly developed negotiation skills
• Fresh Foods buying experience for a leading retailer
• Experience buying both branded and developing own label product ranges
• Excellent supplier management skills with exposure to complex relationships
• Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
• Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc
• Highly self-motivated individual
