Company Overview

My Client is a well established non-food distributor to the grocery market with over 6000 customers across the UK. Due to growth and acquiring a new company my client is looking for x2 Van Sales representatives to join their Surrey and Kent Regions . This is a great time to join this growing company that is going from strength to strength that could offer future career progression within a managerial role or within a National Accounts team.

The Role

  • The role would be a mix of account management and new business development within the independent retailers and convenience sector.
  • You would be responsible for generating your own leads, appointments and mapping out your journey plans.
  • Increasing any potential declining business.
  • Merchandising stock within the stores and monitoring stock levels.
  • Regularly liaising with head office when placing orders and reporting sales figures.
  • This role will not require you to drop off your van to a depot at the start/end of every day it will remain with yourself.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years+ solid consultative B2B field sales experience, ideally within the FMCG market selling to independents OR have previous retail experience within the Grocery/Independent sector.
  • An ability to grow new businesses and develop existing accounts with good rapport skills.
  • An individual that will demonstrate ownership of their territory with a winning attitude.
  • Stable career history
  • Have excellent diary / territory management skills
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy an the ability to work unsupervised
  • Great presentation skills
  • Money and success driven
  • Experience of merchandising (desirable not essential)

On Offer

Along with career progression this role is offering a basic of £18,000 - £22,000 with an uncapped commission structure. Current employees are earning an OTE of £29,000. Company Van, Fuel Card, Mobile phone and Laptop/Tablet.
