Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke products for the home including vintage ceramics, stylish and design led tableware and kitchenware. Offering some fantastic brands and licenses, the business have built up an outstanding reputation for designing and developing unique products giving them an edge across the housewares industry. They supply key UK retailers including the top 4 grocers, department stores and major high street outlets and also have a strong international presence. The business are now in a position to recruit a National Account Manager to generate new business leads with a view to introducing new, exciting product ranges and growing existing account portfolio.

As Area Sales Manager you will manage a designated territory across the South of England with a view to growing the existing customer portfolio. You will sell into independent retailers, garden centres and cook shops across the area. The role is very strategic and this person will need to develop relationships with existing customers whilst prospecting the territory for potential new accounts. You must apply a consultative approach to selling in order to identify the customer’s and represent our client in the right manner.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must have some level of area sales experience having dealt with independent retailers. Ideally you will have a background in the housewares industry for example cookware, tabletop or kitchenware other closely related product experience will be considered for example giftware or garden products. You must be a hungry, self-motivated person with the drive and determination to be successful, our client can offer good career prospects for the future so you must be ambitious.
