The Company is part of a major international group which is a world leader in flooring with sales approaching US$7.5bn and over 30,000 employees.  Holding leading positions in many markets globally, its premium-branded flooring products include laminate, engineered wood and LVT and are recognised for their superior quality and innovation. It now seeks to strengthen its sales team with this appointment.

 

The Challenge

  • To achieve increased market share through building strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers in a customer base comprising flooring retailers and builders' merchants
  • To continue to develop and upgrade the customer base through promoting the excellent product range and the brand values of quality, service and innovation.
  • To deliver sales growth through capitalising upon the significant opportunites which exist to grow the brand.
  • Through effective territory management, to maximise face-to-face contact time with key customers whilst ensuring that all customer data is accurately entered on the CRM system.
  • To increase awareness of the brand within the category and to negotiate with customers to secure additional placement.

 

The Candidate

  • With a successful track record in a field sales capacity, you should have a passion for selling premium-branded products.
  • Should be able to demonstrate how you have achieved sales growth through your excellent negotiation and influencing skills, combined with a results-driven approach.
  • With an understanding of multi-distribution channels (independents, nationals online), you will strive to deliver the highest levels of service and will be prepared to "go the extra mile" for your customers.
  • Must have a high level of customer focus, having built and maintained a strong customer relationships through consistently meeting commitments and exceeding customers' expectations.
  • Able to multi-task, you should have first-class planning and organisational skills.
  • Whilst previous experience of selling wood, laminate or engineered flooring would be advantageous, candidates from other sectors will be considered providing their personal characteristics include passion, innovation, loyalty and integrity.
