Reporting into the Sales Director for Ingredients, the Business Manager will be working for one of the UK’s most innovative suppliers’ of world foods and ingredients, managing the company’s most premium/blue chip B2B customers. This sector has seen 25% year on year growth and further to the on-going development in this sector there is now a requirement for a Business Manager to join their team.

Principally, you will be responsible for developing sales within the Retail Ambient Manufacturing/B2B arena as well as targeting European manufacturers by presenting your products in the most effective manner. Building relationships is key as well as generating sales through customers and supporting the Sales Director when necessary.

Other accountabilities are:

  • To open up a target list of customers in a new market.
  • To achieve contribution target for the year.
  • To achieve net profit target for the year.
  • To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with customers.
  • Participating in senior management meetings - setting of strategy and objectives and effectively contributing towards achievement of those objectives.

You shall be expected to have at least 5 years’ business management experience, with a minimum of 2 years working as a National Account Manager. It is essential you have experience selling into a large retail ambient food manufacturer, such as Heinz, Unilever, Mars or Premier Foods.
