NATIONAL ACCOUNT CONTROLLER - ASDA, TESCO & SAINSBURY’S

National Account Controller - Asda, Tesco & Sainsbury’s

Up to £75,000 depending on experience

Middlesex – Office Based

Reporting into the Managing Director, the National Account Controller will be working for one of the leading producers of own label ambient foods, supplying a range of snacking products into the retail and foodservice channels. Since the company’s incorporation, the business has now grown, turning over in excess of £100million within the UK.  Due to continued growth, there is now a requirement for a National Account Controller to join their team in Middlesex.

The main responsibilities shall include;

• Negotiating annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s
• Driving distribution of existing and new products.
• Negotiating on all elements of cost pricing, terms and promotions within the company guidelines.
• Delivering on agreed price increases.
• Exercising trade spend control and process adherence.
• Managing effective communication with Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
• Communicating competitor and market activity into the organisation.
• Directing customer contact across all relevant functions.
• Taking ownership of volume & financial forecasting.
• Monitoring sales vs forecast on daily basis and understanding performance.
• Working with Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s on category recommendations.
• Working with the Supply Chain team to maximise customer service levels.

You shall be expected to have at least 2 years’ experience working as a National Account Controller/Senior National Account Manager across any food category. It is essential you have own label food/drink experience, and in addition you must have worked with Asda, and have a strong understanding of retail link. Additional experience working with other retailers would be beneficial however not essential.
