The Company

Would you like to work for a leading player within FMCG in the North West? A global company whose strong brands are sold in more than 90 countries across all the major multiples and retailers both on and offline.

The Role

This role requires some one ideally from a Trade Marketing, Category or Sales background to increase presence and market share in the digital arena supporting the customer facing teams in driving online accounts.

Main Duties

  • Be the thought leader in the digital arena for both sales and customer marketing, ensuring internal teams are aligned to best practice, market innovations and trends.
  • Deliver a commercially driven strategic plan to support sales, trade marketing and category management, scoping appropriate resource and budgets.
  • Provide a framework & set of priorities to execute the plan across all key digital customers.
  • Implement clear KPIs, to be tracked and monitored using both internal and External data sources, to drive channel success
  • Build relationships with the relevant retailer team members to drive the business portfolio to front of mind in categories leading to over performance and relevant action plans.
  • Drive the agenda, establish the UK as the test market for initiatives, and help shape the European strategy
  • Build and agree Joint Business Plans, liaising internally (Controlling) and externally (Customer)
  • Develop Trade Marketing plan in partnership with Trade Marketing team; optimising Trade Marketing budget
  • Execute range and distribution strategy; identify gaps in liaison with Category Insight Team on a regular basis
  • Full management P&L responsibility
  • Manage and optimise the commercial relationship with customers
  • Ensure account plans are in place and constantly reviewed
  • Manage promotional calendar and budget in line with company objectives and aligned to account, brand  & channel strategy
  • Undertake post-promotional analysis in liaison with Commercial Controlling team on a regular basis

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will be commercially driven and highly strategic as well as being able to get excited about sales. They will take on the responsibility to develop key accounts whilst taking advantage of the training and development on offer. You will ideally have a marketing trade or category background.
