Leading UK Fresh produce company looking for a strong Foodservice sales professional

 

THE COMPANY:

Established for over 100 years, we are recognised as one of the market leaders in the UK within the fresh produce to catering sector.

Our range of products are second to none and our buying team strongly support sales within the company through establishing set yearly pricing on many areas of the range.

Our close links with one of the UK’s leading foodservice wholesalers allow us to demonstrate comprehensive UK distribution.

However, our recent significant growth within fresh produce has not diminished our focus on providing exceptional levels of customer service.

We are seeking to further develop our already prosperous territory in the Yorkshire/East Midlands area through the recruitment of an established fresh produce catering sales professional.

THE ROLE:

This role focuses mainly on business development within the Yorkshire/East Midlands region.

There will be involvement for sales of all areas of fresh produce concentrating on schools, hotels and restaurants.

The successful candidate will be expected to grow an existing account base and any new accounts won will also be managed by this person.

The main contact level will be Head Chefs or contract catering managers although with larger accounts there may also be some involvement with buyers and procurement.

Overall, an excellent opportunity to develop a territory with significant potential within one of the leading companies in their sector.

THE APPLICANT:

We are seeking to attract a candidate with a proven track record within foodservice, a passion for food and strong business development skills.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong business development skills.
  • Candidates must have experience of field sales within the catering/foodservice sector.
  • Experience of fresh produce sales would prove advantageous although not essential.
  • Candidates with sales experience and Chef qualifications will be welcomed.
  • Candidates must be excellent team players with strong relationship building skills.
