Homebased (working 2 days a week in the South West)

As one of the Europe’s leading processors of produce, my client offers a wide range of fresh fruit ingredients to a number of well-known food and drink manufacturers. They have a glowing reputation in the industry and enjoy extensive national distribution into customers such as 2SFG, Bakkavor and Bottle Green. The business has recently enjoyed some great successes and as a result they have recently invested heavily into their UK operations. Following on from double digit YoY growth, my client is looking to appoint an additional Business Development Manager to manage and develop business within the food manufacturing/B2B channels.

As Business Development Manager you will have full responsibility for the day to day relationships of a designated customer portfolio. You will also be challenged with developing new customers across the Industrial/B2B/Food Manufacturing channels. You will be working closely with the Sales Director, but also the Technical team to make sure the products sold are of an exacting standard. An appreciation therefore of the technical complexities of this position is of high importance.  

To be considered you will be an ambitious individual with strong negotiation skills, and have the ability to work well in a team environment. In addition you will need to have a history of managing food and drink manufacturing accounts, specifically working for an FMCG food manufacturer/distributor. The successful candidate will need to display an understanding and appreciation of the technical aspect of this role. Above all you must be able to work autonomously, and have the drive to progress within a business that is growing rapidly within the UK.
