Northern Ireland Customer Controller (On & Off-Trade) - Primarily Home Based

Following a successful growth period we now need to implement the process and systems improvements more effectively, that will allow our people to spend more time with customers deliver our “First Choice for Customers and Consumers” agenda.

We are looking for a Customer Controller for Northern Ireland to lead and manage a team of Field Sales Managers and Field Sales Executives, to deliver our first choice for customers and consumers ambition and to deliver the On and Off Premise P&L targets in Northern Ireland.

This is to be achieved through a strong sense of accountability for results, being passionate about engaging and developing people and by setting clear performance expectations across the team.

Business acumen, a deep understanding of the market and the ability to respond appropriately to market conditions is critical to the success of this role. The individual is expected to drive a joint business planning approach with their customers either directly or virtually through their team. They must be able to build strong personal relationships with both customers and internal stake holders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting to the Sales Director lead the On & Off Trade teams to deliver the annual operating plan.
  • Constantly look to improve the capability of the team through recruiting, engaging and developing a team of people passionate about delivering exceptional results.
  • Creating clear succession plans across the team ensuring an appropriate talent pipeline.
  • Connect with both our team you would manage, as well as our customers and end consumers. 
  • Creating a structured development programme, grounded in business need matched to individual requirement. 
  • Build “winning relationships” with your key stakeholders – internally and externally
  • Be passionate about engaging and developing people and by setting clear performance expectations across the team.

 

Required Experience / Qualifications

Essential:-

  • Led and managed a multi-functional selling team
  • FMCG Senior Sales Experience with a track record of year on year growth
  • Experience of implementing process and organisational discipline improvements.
  • Ability build strong personal relationships with both customers and internal stake holders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong experience in either the On or Off Trade Channels
  • Strong academic background
  • Led and managed a team of Account Managers and / or Field Sales Managers.

Desirable:-

  • On & Off Trade sales experience
  • Thorough understanding of the Beer Market in Northern Ireland
  • Degree or Masters Degree
