National Account Manager – Furniture/Household goods

An opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing global organisation that operate in the household goods and furniture industry both internationally and with major UK retailers. The company have achieved rapid growth in recent years and over achieved on a number of key profit targets making them a market leader in their category with sizeable market share. Our client has a number of credible, established brands well renowned in the market place. The company deal with most major UK retailers including the grocers, department stores and major furniture outlets. Due to expansion the business are now in a position to recruit a National Account Manager to join their current team and aid ambitious growth plans.
As National Account Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers already established by the current sales team. Part of the role may also involve generating new business with some major retailers that the company are looking to develop or set up as new customers. Our client is a UK manufacturer meaning this person will need to have a great understanding of lead times and the supply process to key retailers. You must represent the brands in the correct manner in line with the strategic plans of the company.
In order to be considered for this very exciting opportunity you must have a non-food consumer goods background ideally from within the furniture, home furnishings or white goods industry. You must have dealt with significant levels of turnover across a portfolio of designated national accounts with the grocers, department stores or furniture outlets. You may currently operate in this industry as a Key or National Account Manager for example and be looking to join a market leading, growing company that can offer a long-term career and future progression from within the overall group. Our client will also consider someone with a background in retail buying in a similar product category that may be looking to move into a sales role with a supplier. You must be diligent, hardworking and very hungry to develop your skills in order to be successful.
