CPL Aromas has a vacancy for General Manager UK Sales at their UK Headquarters. This opportunity has come about due to the retirement of the current longstanding UK GM who has had many successful years within the organisation.

Based in Bishops Stortford, this role will be a sales led position with responsibilities for the running of the UK facility; leading across key areas including Sales, Marketing, Creative Perfumery, Laboratory and Evaluation.

Reporting into the CEO, key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and communicate the strategy for the division
  • Manage team of experienced perfumers
  • Manage department heads across - Sales, Creative Perfumery, Laboratory, Marketing and Evaluation
  • Ultimate sales responsibility for all CPL UK customers including International accounts - namely across some European and African markets.
  • Chair and attend regular meetings including, monthly sales meetings, general managers' meetings and division directors meetings
  • Full P&L and budgeting responsibility for the division
  • Identify and agree target accounts
  • Keep within all Group authorisation levels as directed by Main Board
  • Ensure all CPL UK employees meet our Values and understand our Mission and Purpose
  • Responsible for Health and Safety on site and to develop our environmental initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have significant experience in a fragrance sales focused position. A background in evaluation would be an advantage to the position. Will be knowledgeable of the UK, European and African Fragrance markets across all categories and will have a proved background of leading multifunctional teams across commercial and technical capacities.
