An exciting opportunity for a Category Project Manager has developed with a well-known business in the food manufacturing industry. The business manufactures and distributes a variety of branded ambient products many of which are market leading household names. The businesses turnover is in excess of £100 million with 6000 staff worldwide and 550 of them in the UK. They are now looking to add a passionate and gifted category/marketing professional to their category team.

Role

As Category Project Manager you will work closely with the Category team on a Top 4 account – the main duties and responsibilities include:

• Producing standardised reports for the business, and tracking account, product and promotional performance
• Tracking competitor activity, including promotions and new product launches
• Working with product and account management to understand and develop the product range within key retail accounts
• Assisting in the producing of account specific category reviews
• Managing the tracking of new marketing initiatives including new POS development, in store activity, TV campaigns etc.
• Working with the other marketing functions to provide support and information when required
• Leading planogram development and account specific product performance
• Assisting in training the Category Analyst
• Carry out any other tasks commensurate with this post

Requirements

• To be considered for this role, you will be a graduate with 18 months experience in a category/analyst role, (a university placement year will be considered) from an FMCG background – preferably Food. You will have a genuine passion for marketing & category with clear personal goals and objectives for your future career.
