Category Controller - 12 Month FTC

Fantastic interim category controller role for a top tier food manufacturer in Middlesex. 9 - 12 months maternity cover with a provisional start date for the beginning of September!

The key purpose of this role is to ensure category thought leadership within key retailers in order to gain advantage for their brands, as well as ensuring that the key category drivers (opportunities) shape innovation, packaging, pricing and promotional strategies, in order to drive brand growth.

This position reports to the Director of Category & Customer Marketing, and ultimately to the Sales Director, UK & Ireland. This role heads a team of nine, three of whom are direct reports.

Key Objectives:

Deliver disproportionate brand advantage in category & customers through:

Bringing Category Thought Leadership to our categories, internally and externally.

Developing and selling in Category Visions & Drivers across all our categories & customers.

Developing category partnerships in key customers/categories

Prioritise Category Team resource to maximize returns across categories/customers.

You are a key participant in ongoing brand planning, influencing shape of brand innovation/promotion/pricing/packaging strategies in line with Category Visions & Drivers. Your experience lies within mainstream branded FMCG and you will be a strong people manager. Excellence within category , customer or trade marketing is pre-requisite.
