At Arla, we do so much more than make some of the world's favourite dairy products. We make healthy taste delicious, mornings worth getting up for and family dinners unforgettable. Cravendale®, Anchor®, Lurpak® and Tickler® - names like these make us a vital, natural part of modern life in over 100 countries around the world. We are 4,000 UK and 19,000 global employees at the heart of it. Every single one of us plays an important role and together we build on our 10bn Euros turnover and establish our position as one of the largest dairy companies in the world.
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Retail Brand Manager to provide the Strategic marketing leadership of the CUK Yellow Cheese Retail Brand Business. Developing a 3-5 year strategy in line with both the business growth ambitions and customer strategy, you will be responsible for developing the everyday cheese portfolio through NPD, category and commercial initiatives; ensuring the business effectively implements all key activities against the agreed customer business plans.
Key responsibilities within this role include the strategic alignment with the customer strategy, brand platforms, category vision and very importantly operational strategic initiatives. In order to deliver immediate business goals and commitments and ensure future growth across the plan you will provide the leadership of consumer understanding and insight for the category area whilst driving business activity.
You will be responsible for the development of the Retail Brand NPD pipeline through consumer and shopper insight, leading key agency relationships as required. You will provide the development of trade promotional strategy and implementation of guidelines in collaboration with sales and shopper marketing, identifying and developing new channels.
Within this role you will also be responsible for the development and approval of the commercial business case for CAPEX investment and the co-ordination of venture brands or creamery identities as part of the retail brand platforms.
With the ability to prioritise activities and the allocation of necessary resources both short and long term, you will take control of the change resource to deliver all key product and pack changes, demonstrating leadership of retail brand against marketing excellence.
To be successful in this role you will have significant brand and/or Retail management experience within FMCG and a proven track record of effective marketing management and results. You will hold a business or bachelor degree and have direct experience within UK grocery trade, specifically top four accounts (including strategy development, annual plan development, presenting and engagement). Good communication skills are essential for this position along with the ability to work well with others as part of a team. You will be creative, confident and outgoing with a true passion for brands.
In return you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work for a forward thinking, progressive organisation that recognises and rewards talent.
