The Role:

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly driven Sales Account Manager to join a well-established, world leading ingredients company. The company have an excellent reputation for high quality, innovative and exciting products. They have won several international awards for the growth of their business and contribution to the industry.

As a global employer they have opportunities to work internationally with the potential to grow your career immeasurably. They are looking for someone to join their sales team by hiring a Senior Sales Account Manager looking after the Confectionery and Desserts and Dairy side of the business.

In this role you will be responsible for an account base of approximately €3 million per annum. You will be looking after 12 key accounts within the manufacturing sectors.

Reporting into the Sales Director you will be responsible for maintaining and increasing profitability within your accounts, identifying new opportunities for growth and documenting and implementing strategy with each account individually.

You will be working closely with other members within the team to ensure that boundaries for Volume, Price and Technology are optimised. You will be expected to meet KPI’s and create strong relationships with clients to ensure that customer service and quality levels are maintained.

The Individual:

You will be a highly motivated, technically minded individual with a real passion for food. The client will want to take someone on who has the ambition and energy to progress within the organisation or the wider Group.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the FMCG sector, with the drive and motivation to progress your career to the next level. This may have been in a technical/operation capacity before moving into an account management role.

You will ideally have experience within Ingredients, Sweets, Cereals or Confectionery and an understanding of the technical process involved within the sector.

You will be home based and manage your own diary. With this level of autonomy my client is looking for a determined and ambitious individual who enjoys meeting clients and is an excellent communicator and relationship builder.

You will have a university degree in Food Sciences or a Business discipline accompanied by the relevant Sweet Ingredients experience.
