The Role

This is a great opportunity for a hungry and determined individual to develop the company brand across all UK FMCG sectors. With a particular focus on the Retail, Wholesale, Convenience and Foodservice channels this role is ideal for someone who is keen to take a good product, already being sold to these sectors, and develop contacts further.

The company sell a variety of imported, premium products and so would value someone who is keen to build relationships with the existing customer base and sell the products based on their quality and unique offering rather than just price.

The company are flexible to be able to secure good industry professionals from any area within the FMCG Food and Drink sector. The most important aspect of this role is to continue building the excellent relationships with the current customer base and develop new customers within the channels already mentioned.

As the company is London based it would be ideal if the right candidate for this role was located in the Southeast of the UK. There will be a fair amount of autonomy for this role with a view to getting someone in who has the relevant contacts and ability to manage their own diary to access the right routes to market. They see this as a key position within the business and will ultimately, in time, see this person taking on more responsibility for the existing sales staff and building the team further as the business grows.

The Individual

It is of paramount importance that this candidate is a strong relationship builder. They are likely to have contacts within the FMCG sector already and will be able to harvest these initially to make a good start in the role.

The client wants to continue selling based on the product attributes and the level of customer service and reliability provided rather than dropping prices to remain competitive.

The right person would ideally see this as a long term opportunity to build their reputation within the industry as well as increasing the profile of this company and the unique offering it has developed.

Good communication and administration skills will be required as working autonomously will require a certain degree of organisational skills to work effectively.
