You probably know us best for Carlsberg and Carlsberg Export. But, there's more to us than meets the eye. From Tetley's to Tuborg, San Miguel to Somersby Cider - we produce lots of leading brands. We also import premium world beers like Staropramen and Mahou, have an impressive portfolio of cask ales and source specialist wines and spirits from around the globe to delight our customers with. We're the Premier League's official beer too, not to mention our partnership with the UK's best festivals - Glastonbury and Download to name just a couple.

Right now, we're looking for commercially astute Sales Development Manager to maximise profit, throughput and distribution of our products in the Yorkshire region and to provide our customers with excellent service. A role that's about meeting agreed business objectives with existing and new accounts, it will see you get involved in a variety of activities from day one. As well as planning and documenting business development reviews for current customers, we'll rely on our Sales Development Manager to identify, plan and open for trade an agreed number of prospect accounts too. Planning and targeting promotional activity to ensure the most profitable use of spend will be important too, as will monitoring and reviewing loan performance/investments. Whether co-ordinating the relevant departments to make sure everyone delivers customer satisfaction or providing feedback aimed at making sure we retain the competitive advantage, one thing's for sure - you won't be short of variety and challenge.

Excellent selling and new business prospecting skills are a given, with experience in a Field Sales role preferred (if you've done any portfolio or composite selling that would be a plus). We'll also be looking for an understanding of financial investment principles and a flexible approach to work, with evening work required on occasions. Well organised and resilient, with strong planning and time management skills, you have a good standard of Maths and English and are proficient using office IT systems like Microsoft Office. And, of course, it goes without saying that you're a top notch communicator and negotiator and hold a clean driving licence. FMCG experience is desirable.

On top of the culture and career development opportunities that make working with us so rewarding, we'll also give our Sales Development Manager a product allowance, flexible benefits scheme and generous holidays. So, what are you waiting for? The broader opportunities you crave with a world leader could be yours for the taking.

Carlsberg. To many we’re a famous Danish pilsner beer. To others, we make the best beer adverts ever, probably. To our colleagues, we’re so much more. We’re a brewer with 170-years of heritage and a reputation for making great beer at breweries across the world. We support this through continuous scientific innovation, centred at the Carlsberg Laboratory in Copenhagen, where the pH Scale was developed.

Alongside Carlsberg Pilsner, our enviable portfolio of beer brands includes Carlsberg Export, San Miguel, Tetley’s, Poretti and Brooklyn Lager. Some we brew, others we licence from our valued brewing partners Mahou, San Miguel and Brooklyn Brewery. We build these brands through iconic communications and sponsorship assets that include Glastonbury and Live Nation festivals, such as Reading, Leeds, Wireless and Latitude.

Above all else, we have a purpose and commitment to Brewing for a Better Today & Tomorrow, which is core to everything we do, from sales to sustainability. Carlsberg really is a great place to work. Internationally renowned brands, an exciting and stimulating environment and outstanding opportunities for personal development on a global stage. With such a diverse range of jobs and huge professional challenges, this is a place where passion and the desire to achieve really can make a difference.
