Job Details
My client, a UK leading Food business supplying branded and own label products to the retail and foodservice sector is seeking a Category Manager to join their high performing category function.
The key remit of this role is to manage market and consumer insight within the retail and product market. There will be two areas of impact; analysing category management data and identifying market opportunities in order to create a vision to drive profitability through NPD.
In this position, the Category Manager will develop the following:
- Develop marketing plans to drive customer profitability, innovation, brand development through consumer and market insights
- Monthly reporting of marketing trends and retailer performance
- Development of the category strategy and vision to influence category development including range, space and merchandising plans.
- Analyse data and present effectively, using various market data systems (Kantar, Nielsen and Mintel)
- Use consumer and market insights to develop marketing plans to drive customer profitability, innovation, brand development
