Sales Account Manager – Foodservice

London and South East.

My client, part of an internationally renowned food group, are a supplier of premium, frozen viennoiserie pastry products to artisan and industrial bakers. As part of their major growth in the UK they are looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to develop sales within both the end user and partner wholesaler channels


What you'll do:

· You will be responsible for bringing our viennoiserie to life in hotels, coffee shops, deli-stores, railway caterers, petrol forecourts, contract caterers, education and anywhere in between. These can be independent or part of a chain.

· You will arrange meetings with end users (Chefs, F&B Managers and other decision makers) and build great commercial partnerships with them.

·You will regularly liaise with the Wholesale distribution partners and their teams, assuring the contracts at end user level are being executed.

·You prioritise your visits, and negotiate deals

·This is a commercial position and you are responsible for driving and inspiring customer loyalty, whilst implementing marketing activities

·You will deliver and exceed sales budget for the designated area in volume and turnover,  in line with the set strategy and in consultation with your line manager

·You will collect customer feedback and market research

·You will keep up to date with products and competitors

·Reports to National Foodservice Sales Manager UK & IRL

 

What you’ll bring:

·Proven track record in sales, preferably in food or beverages (ideally bakery)

·Experience with strategic partnerships at both wholesale and end user levels

·Able to work to targets, deadlines and timescales and be driven by them

·Exploit existing connections in the foodservice and retail sectors

·Strong influencing skills: the ability to impact customer behaviour at the point of purchase

·Ability to negotiate at both end-user and wholesale level

·An analytical mind to analyse data effectively and use within the role

·Experience with CRM packs is a plus

 

You are:

· Commercially passionate, customer and market focussed

· Strong, well organised, self-driven and a self-starter

· Comfortable working within a team, good communicator

· Able to analyse data effectively and use within the role

·Social media savvy and able to exploit this within the role

· Good communicator at all levels, both written and spoken

· Baking skills are a strong plus
