The company:

My client is a market leader in the Food Ingredients market, specialising in Savoury Ingredients selling to the B2B sector. They have grown in size by approximately 18% over the past 3 years, with a corresponding increase in profit of over 37%.

They have locations across the UK and a reputation for innovation, quality and dedicated customer service. They are currently looking for a technical sales manager to come in to support the sales function.

The role:

Reporting into the Sales Director you will look to have responsibility for key accounts as well as new business generation. You will visit key clients and develop existing and new business opportunities where appropriate. You will be selling into food manufacturing and need to have a good understanding of the sector, the practices and the key requirements for selling to this customer base. A consultative approach will be particularly beneficial for this position.

The person:

The right person for this role will have a strong technical background within the food ingredients sector. Experience with the following would be a distinct advantage:

- Blends, Rubs, Marinades, Glazes, Crumbs and Batters.

- Snacks applications

- Meat and Fish applications.

You will be based from home with a view to being in front of customers as much as possible. The office is based in the North but the company is flexible on the location of the right candidate. You will need a strong determination for exceeding sales, maximising margins and driving top and bottom line growth.

You will have worked with UK Food Manufacturers in a sales or technical capacity and understand the pressures and cost initiatives as well as quality and safety requirements.
