Off Trade Business Development Manager - Midlands & North 


Role Purpose

To drive sales and distribution of My Clients brands via national/regional wholesalers, independent retailers and symbol group members across the Midlands & North region

My client is a well known premium Alcoholic Drinks business who are focused on the development of top quality premium Brands

Key Responsibilities

- Delivery of agreed volume and distribution targets across your designated wholesale accounts whilst identifying and working with key convenience retailers to drive sales at the point of purchase
- Build long term and credible relationships with key decision makers across your account base implementing effective 'win win' strategies for both parties
- Identify and commercially evaluate all new business opportunities to gain internal support for proposals/investment
- Deliver an 8 week customer contact strategy to provide an 'added value' account service
- Gathering competitor activity and identifying sector trends to feed back to the business via weekly/monthly reports
- Record customer and brand information etc. on a daily basis via the CRM system
- Represent My client at trade days, exhibitions and other events where required

Education, Experience & Knowledge

- Previous Off Trade experience desirable but not essential
- Previous Expereince with Wholesale or Cash and Carry is essential
- Good level of commercial awareness and numeracy
- Pro-active and motivated with 'can do' attitude
- Organized and able to prioritize effectively
- Insightful and solution driven
- Effective two way communicator with good presenting skills
- Ability to produce compelling presentations and commercial proposals

Location

Field based role with extensive travel required - full clean driving license. Key conurbations: Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle
