National Account Manager.

Salary dependent on relevant experience
Founded in 2008, Rainforest Foods is a leading European importer, wholesaler and retailer of organic super foods.

We have experienced strong growth over the last three years with turnover more than doubling each year.

This growth has been driven by our triple bottom line approach which focuses on people, planet and profit. Our goal is to excel in each of these areas.
We are currently recruiting for a National Account Manager for our two retail brands: Rainforest Foods and Green Origins.

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for the growth and development of new accounts across a number of UK Multiple retail channels.

The growth will be driven by a sizeable investment in brand development and innovative NPD.

The role comes with a significant degree of autonomy and is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, well-networked National Account Manager to make a visible impact in a fast developing category.

Key skills/qualities required:

  • Experience working as a National Account Manager in the branded FMCG industry, ideally within health foods but this is not essential
  • A results-focused approach which creates value for the company and the customer
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Experience creating new listings within the UK Multiple retail channels and a detailed knowledge of the buying process within this sector
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • A strong work ethic and an ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Good IT, planning and organisational skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Growing and developing new and existing accounts within UK Multiple retailers and major online retailers
  • Developing and negotiating joint business plans
  • Producing actionable reports, forecasts and analysis for management
  • Developing strong relationships with customers
  • Negotiating pricing and promotional plans
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market trends
  • Managing the P&L
