Business Development Manager – Corporate Sales

THE COMPANY: 

Our client are a Global, multi million pound provider of information,analytics, business intelligence and consulting services which offer expertise and guidance to the FMCG sector.  

They offer outstanding market research intelligence critical to all major FMCG brands and operate on a global basis.

THE ROLE:

As a New Business Account Manager your main aim is to develop Key Account business with larger customers whose contract values will range between £200k-£2m.

You will be selling the service of data collection, interpretation, analysis and an overall business intelligence service to FMCG organisations as well as some smaller retailers.

Your time will be split between, home, office and field based work. You will be predominantly targeting accounts across the South East area such as London and the Home Counties.  

You will also be tasked with gaining financial improvement to long term existing account base through strong interaction at head office level.

You will be dealing with and selling to Board level and will be presenting to Key Customers.

THE APPLICANT:

You must be a proven field based sales professional, ideally coming from an FMCG or alternative structured corporate background,  whether that be working for a major FMCG brand or alternatively selling to FMCG organisations.  

Other areas of interest would be experience at selling to head office level for the major grocers.

Alternative to this you MUST have proven experience at selling some form of high value solution or service within a business services or corporate environment.

However, we are open to the industry which the candidate will have experience within.

Other interested backgrounds would come from selling and promoting analytics and other forms of data or some form of Consumer Packed goods.

You will be extremely customer focused and always aim to exceed customers’ expectations and anticipate their needs. 

You will also have strong presenting skills.  Experience in developing strong relationships with new clients is essential to the role. 

LOCATION: 

The role is both field and office based and candidates are required to reside within a daily commutable distance of the East Berkshire area: Surrey, Berkshire, Oxford, Reading, Slough, Buckinghamshire, Bracknell, London or surrounding area.
