Job Title: Category Marketing Controller
Location: East Midlands
Package: £60,000 to £70,000, 20% bonus, car allowance + excellent benefits

The Opportunity:

With exciting and ambitious plans for growth – organic and by acquisition, we are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Category Marketing Controller to lead, develop and deliver a winning category marketing programme.
Reporting to the Commercial Director and managing a team of 2, your key accountabilities will be:


• Help create and deliver our category marketing vision
• Challenge & build new ideas, developing fresh platforms for our business
• Be on top of latest trends, competitor landscape and retailer environment
• Develop creative capability using internal and external processes to create ideation which will develop new propositions
• Leading cross functional teams to deliver the business plan and commercialise propositions bringing them to market



You:
Ideally you will have:

• Marketing, Category and development experience in a food/drink business
• Excellent relationships with Marks & Spencer
• Strong commercial awareness of Top 4 UK Multiple Grocery retailers, brand and own label
• Strong project management skills, including taking projects and leading them through an end to end process is essential
• Strong leadership qualities with experience of leading cross functional teams
• Strong category and market data experience
• Must demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit
• Clearly demonstrate creativity in thinking and planning
• Strong written and verbal communication in order to clearly communicate Innovation Plans
• Ability to influence and lead key stakeholders
• Show drive and determination and an openness to relationship building and managing change
