Dyson invents new and better technology to solve everyday problems. Like the world’s fastest hand dryer, bladeless fans, and our vacuum cleaners – which lead the market in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA. As we continue to expand and launch new products, we need hungry sales people to drive new business, build brand awareness and maintain good relationships with retailers. That’s where you come in.

Regionally based, you’ll be the main point of contact for stores and outlets, educating all levels of people about what makes Dyson technology different. You will manage a team of Dyson Experts coaching and supporting them to hit their targets, ensuring that they provide a first class customer experience. To help you succeed you’ll receive a car, phone, laptop, iPad, bonus (up to 20%), fuel card and lunch allowance. In return, you’ll need strong communication and presentation skills, and a passion for technology and previous people management experience is preferred. Whether you’re training staff or liaising with managers, your enthusiasm will drive business – increasing sales and winning over prospective customers.

Some previous Field Sales experience is a must, and you’ll need to have the hunger and attitude that’s going to drive growth. Generating new business might require cold calling and striking up relationships with independent store owners – this is where your confident personality, ingenuity and negotiation skills will come to the fore. Like everyone at Dyson, you’ll thrive in the fast-paced, constantly changing environment – solving problems creatively and taking a hands-on approach in everything you do.

Other requirements

Everyday functions will include keeping stores updated, visiting them regularly (on average 5 per day), meeting monthly KPI’s, attending regular sales meetings, and being confident with POS, sales data, merchandising and display guidelines. Other essentials include a full UK driving licence, excellent report writing and numeracy skills, the ability to work with a team and travelling to Dyson’s head office in Malmesbury, Wiltshire each month. Working two weekends in every four, this role may also require on occasion evening work and nights away. Please note that the successful candidate must live within the territory.

Dyson technology is unlike any other, with easily demonstrated advantages. Regular training will ensure your technical knowledge remains outstanding – as good as Dyson engineers.
