Job Details
An exciting opportunity to join a nationwide team. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of training to the retail management population. You will develop and grow business level relationships at manager and senior manager levels. Leading National training and engagement events including VIP events, events, Call Centre events, Consumer events and high level regional.
The role of Engagement Manager is to primarily maximise sales and advocacy of the Microsoft Brand – primarily but not limited to the Mobile Device Division, through the engagement and development of Retail Manager and Senior Manager Relationships, delivering training at region level, High Profile store level and national events including but not exclusively within the Call Centre environment.
Your primary responsibility is the management and delivery of training to the retail management population. You will develop and grow business level relationships at manager and senior manager levels. You will lead at National training and engagement events including VIP events, Microsoft events, Call Centre events, Consumer events and high level regional activity.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Work with the RDM to develop initial retail manager engagement, develop and grow this relationship to gain access to region and national manager meetings and events
- Build relationships at this level through business conversations – focused around the accounts business needs and the place that Microsoft Devices and Services has and the benefits it brings to the account.
- Establish and maintain a retailer Regional Manager contact strategy across the region
- Develop and communicate a top-line business plan with regional managers with objectives and plans for developing Nokia sales in the region
- Proactively maintain a good level of product, service and market knowledge
- To be responsible for delivering training to key audiences/influences where appropriate or necessary (i.e. Trainers in the Account, Guru’s, Champions, Product experts, Managers, Field Team, Team Leaders, Regional Managers etc)
- Maintain an excellent knowledge and ability to train on the account specifics, Microsoft devices and services
- To produce detailed reports in relation to training delivered, success of the training, delivery methods used, uplift in knowledge, sales advocacy and ROI delivered.
- Have a strong understanding of the business objectives to ensure training opportunities are aligned to opportunities within the customer accounts
- Proactively seek out way to constantly move with the times in an ever changing market.
- To work closely with the Master Trainer and Training Manager to understand the GTM plans by account, roadmap for launch of devices & services
- Support the Master trainer in the development of the FSF
- Act as a role model in the EM role
- Demonstrate at all times and in all interactions Microsoft and Retail Marketing company values
- Whilst the Retail Management development of this role is regionally based the need for flexibility at events will mean the need for travel around the UK and Ireland on a regular basis
- Occasional overseas travel may be required
- The role of Engagement Manager is a 40 hour role working Monday to Friday
- Occasional Weekend work may be required

Requirements of this role
- Driven individual who complements a team but is able to work on own initiative and can demonstrate examples of this
- Minimum of 2 years classroom training experience in a senior position delivering with application of training theories
- Broad experience in blended learning solutions and is familiar with online training methods Telecoms industry experience (desirable)
- Recognised training qualification (desirable)
- Full Driving license (essential)
- Flexibility to stay away when required
