Senior National Account Manager – Cosmetics and Personal Care

With over 70 years’ experience within the cosmetics industry across the Atlantic, my client is a growing business that plans to develop areas across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A privately held company worth an estimated $150 million dollars, they have been at the forefront in creating and distributing cosmetic and personal care accessories across the market place. In the short space of time that my client has been trading across the UK, they have developed exceptionally quickly from their initial stages. Grown from nothing to a turnover in excess of £10 million in the past 5 years, they are a business that are going places. Targeted towards the mass market, the business has some of the biggest brands incorporated into their portfolio, having really great products at low cost.

As a result of this continued growth, the business is creating a new position to meet the existing demands of the consumer. You will be working on the number 1 account for the business, Boots, accounting for 60% of the total sales. Reporting directly into the EMEA Director, this is a hands on role where you will be able to put your input into a business that has fantastic plans to move forward. Within this role you will be working on the existing account base, managing sales and distribution, exceeding profit targets and continuing the success. You will work cross functionally with New Product Development, ensuring that the implementation of new products is successful and in line with the needs of the consumer.

It is essential that you have prior experience working in a similar industry, either within personal care, health or cosmetics. The successful candidate must have some prior knowledge and understanding of the market place and be able to assess the brands performance against its competitors. It is desirable that you have experience working with Boots, although top 4 grocery multiple experience will be considered. The business will consider a home/office based work scenario.
