An exciting opportunity has become available at a fast growing innovation led company in the electronic cigarette sector.

We are looking for a Salesperson with FMCG experience to join our vibrant and energetic team in Manchester.

The company is currently doubling its wholesale revenue every 12 months and is looking for an experienced Salesperson who can get our patent pending products into the national multiples.

The right person will be rewarded with an uncapped share of turnover and will be on a fast track promotion to top level management.

Description
Management of customer portfolio: 

  • Build up solid relationships with main account contacts 
  • Design joint business plans (based on history, forecast, trends evolutions and targets) with the ultimate aim of achieving mutual objectives 
  • Increase sales and profitability per account through utilising the full marketing mix e.g. additional product listings, promotional plans & secondary display locations 
  • Conduct business reviews and through the use of the available market intelligence sources, developing a clear longer term vision for the business. Make corrective actions where necessary 
  • Consult internally with Business Strategy & Planning department with regard to key sales proposals. 
  • Lead and manage projects related to accounts e.g. executing store trials, deploying merchandising teams, bespoke displays etc 
  • Set up annual contract agreements through negotiating terms and conditions 
  • Manage monthly forecasting 

Prospecting/ development of new customers: 

  • Contribute to improving our client's profitable sales growth through the acquisition of new customers 
  • Identify potential new customers and engage with key decision markers 
  • Use market intelligence and input from internal colleagues to gain new customers 
  • Translate marketing concepts into appealing commercial proposals 
  • Develop creative and engaging customer specific presentations utilising support functions as required

Profile

Role Experience : 
Function-related experience : 

  • Number of years : 3 to 5 years in working within an FMCG environment.
  • Experience within Sales/Key Accounts 
  • Must be able to get results immediately.

Characteristics: 

  • A proven record of managing retail accounts and gaining new business, by preference in an FMCG field 
  • Commercially and financially astute - ability to translate marketing plans into a sales strategy 
  • Excellent numerical skills - especially in terms of calculating sales proposals/P&Ls 
  • Strong verbal and written communication 
  • Comfortable working in small teams as well as part of a larger organisation 
  • Diplomatic communicator with excellent negotiation skills (internally and externally) 
  • Self motivated, "thick skinned" & with high stamina levels 
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and personable character with a 'can do' attitude 
  • Target driven 

Educational Experience 

  • Degree education required. 

Job Offer

  • £32-35K Basic . Negotiable.
  • Uncapped share of turnover, OTE > 60K in first year.
  • Company Car or equivalent in cash.
  • Fast track promotion.
