Denholm’s client have gone through a period of exciting change and are now looking for a high calibre individual to join the Marketing Department as a Channel Marketing Manager with specific focus on the Grocery channel. This opportunity could suit individuals with a range of experience across National Accounts or Marketing due to the requirements around working closely with and managing head office relationships with the multiple retailers.

This is a key role within the business and will lead on various brand and channel marketing initiatives with leading Grocery customers. You will develop, shape and deliver marketing plans directly with customers, specifically the big 4 multiples and taking brand plans, be able to develop bespoke activity and campaigns that will deliver the results within the individual customers. You will make a significant contribution to the development of UK Off Trade brand programs and take ownership of the brand activity planning process with these key customers. In addition you will ensure programs/activities are delivered on time, on brand, on strategy, on budget and the performances are evaluated to drive continuous improvement. This will include building a solid network of appropriate customer contacts, understanding their business to define their needs and leading major customer presentations as well as ensuring wider customer buy in and support of the business plans.

You will be of graduate calibre and have relevant brand management/customer marketing or sales experience within the Grocery and Off Trade environment. You must have exposure to working closely with the major supermarkets in a marketing commercial or National Account role and can demonstrate a proven track record of achievement in that environment. You must be a proactive individual with highly developed interpersonal skills, giving you the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of management at head office level.  Attention to detail and multi-tasking are essential in this role, as is the ability to interpret market and sales data.
