Senior Category Manager

We are being used exclusively by our client to undertake a Search to uncover individuals who already have a demonstrable background within Category Marketing within the Food sector. Our client is one of the largest protein groups in Food and the dominant force across a number of categories, where its clients include some of the UK’s best known and most innovative Retailers.

Our client is one of the most successful and progressive groups within the food sector, their success have been achieved through a constant focus geared towards innovation, development and a customer focused approach. As part of a wide refocus of one of its key and instrumental divisions they are now looking to further strengthen their category marketing function by recruiting a Senior Category Manager to assist in the implementation of a new customer growth and innovation strategy.

As key members of the senior functional Team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Category and Consumer Insight strategy to drive sales growth through strong existing customer relationships, as well as the potential expansion of the current customer product portfolio and category share.

This will be achieved through driving the Category Marketing function to deliver effective category management and a programme of developing new and innovative products that match current consumer trends, alongside managing and developing key relationships, at all levels, with the aim of building a long-term, growing and profitable business that fits with the ambitious growth strategy across the division and wider Group.

As highlighted above we are looking to attract individuals who already have a proven and acknowledged personal brand within the Foods sector; this role will only be attainable for an individual who is recognised as a Category and Consumer Insight specialist, respected and held in high regard by customers and peers alike.
