Area Sales Executive - Midlands

Our client is one of the largest independent family owned Butchers in the country and they are looking to strengthen their sales team with an ambitious and driven sales individual to develop new business throughout the Midlands & Yorkshire area.

The Role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the main focus for the role is to win new business and become a key supplier to businesses such as hotels, pubs, restaurants in the Midlands and Yorkshire areas. In this autonomous role, the successful candidate will be expected to set up regular appointments with new customers and begin to build the relationships and grow the accounts. The area covered will be the Midlands and Yorkshire, however monthly meetings will be required at Head Office with the rest of the team.

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for strong personalities and someone who will represent the brand of the business. You will be a hunter of new business and thrive on winning new accounts. You will be undeterred by rejections and will be able to continue to canvass new business by using innovative and creative ways of selling. Personality is key for this role, and applicants should be confident that when they walk in to a pub, hotel, or restaurant, they can instantly build a rapport with decision makers to build business relationships.

Meat sales experience to foodservice and catering establishments will be looked upon favourably and excellent knowledge of the meat industry will be a distinct advantage. All candidates will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits

In return for meeting the above criteria, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary between £25,000 - £35,000 p/a (dependant on experience) as well as an uncapped commission, company car, laptop & phone.
