Paul Nyman Consultancy are currently recruiting a Commercial Analyst for an increasingly successful food group based in Leeds City Centre. 

The Business

Our client is a top player in their category and is looking for an analytical mind to take what will likely be their 2nd career step in to a role which will give you multi-functional exposure. Operating in a £1bn industry, with a portfolio of branded and own-label products they are a company that pride themselves on an extremely close working relationship with their customers. With a customer base that spans the grocery MULTS and well known discounters the business has a significant presence within the UK FMCG market.

The Role

Working with the head of commercial, the role of commercial controller provides critical support in the form of analysis and recommendations across category management, national accounts and supply chain thus maximizing sales potential and improving productivity. Effective implementation of these recommendations involves both external (customer) interaction and internal persuasion and liaison. Provision of detailed and accurate information together with ensuring the business’ adherence to critical date paths are vital.

The Individual

You will be an analytical individual with a keen attention to detail, an excellent knowledge of Excel is essential to succeed in this role. Retail and SAP experience would be desirable but not essential, having the aptitude to communicate effectively and convey your ideas to key decision makers.

The Opportunity

Successful individuals who show their ability in this role will find themselves on the first step of the ladder towards becoming an FMCG Account Manager or Category Manager.
